New features for Enerdata country reports

Building on our country reports from the Global Energy Research service, Enerdata has been adding new components to enhance the reader’s experience and present data in a more visual way. The reports provide essential information about the energy landscape of more than 110 countries, including all major economies (check out the US energy report, China energy report, India energy report, Brazil energy report, and many more). They incorporate data on policy and regulations, supply and demand, key players, projects and business perspectives.

Add-ons include highlights with key information and numbers for all sections, as well as redesigned graphs and tables for more clarity. Moreover, a restructured executive summary at the beginning of the country report give readers all the essential information at a glance.

Graphs and tables can encompass:

  • CO2-energy emissions
  • Consumption evolution for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Consumption market share by sector for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Power generation by source, with capacity development status
  • Electricity prices levels and evolution for industry and households
  • Natural gas prices levels and evolution for industry and households
  • Economic indicators
  • Supply and demand indicators
  • Energy balance
  • Energy infrastructures

Graphs and tables can encompass:

  • CO2-energy emissions
  • Consumption evolution for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Consumption market share by sector for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Power generation by source, with capacity development status
  • Electricity prices levels and evolution for industry and households
  • Natural gas prices levels and evolution for industry and households
  • Economic indicators
  • Supply and demand indicators
  • Energy balance
  • Energy infrastructures

Excel datasets complement the reports:
  • A dedicated country file with economic indicators, energy supply and demand splits, balances in physical units and (Mtoe) and CO2 prices split.
  • A national power generation dashboard from our Power Plant Tracker Service. This includes installed, under construction and under development capacities for all energies, and power sector performances (capacities and generation over time, power plant efficiency, CO2 emissions, and the sector's carbon factor).
  • Country forecasts from EnerFuture (for more than 40 countries, including all G20 economies) with scenario comparison, data on demand (by fuel and by sector), power generation, CO2 emissions, as well as main macro-economy indicators (GDP, population, growth...).

All data is regularly updated (on an annual basis) with support from our Global Energy & CO2 Data database and our EnerMonthly service. Main players, such as the United States or China, are updated twice a year.

You can also take a look at our data energy sample, power capacities sample and energy forecast country sample.

You can also find an overview of country data on our country energy information pages, with key graphs and market information as well as the latest news on a given country such as the United States energy information, France energy information, China energy information and more.

Enerdata Country reports are being greatly enhanced

31 March 2019

A new template has been designed, to provide more analysis and insight on the energy market of a given country, and use more graphics within the text. New reports offer a more detailed overview of the energy markets dynamics, in an easier-to-read format.

The additional information provided principally concerns consumption and prices of oil, gas, coal and electricity.

New reports include 19 graphs, and 2 data table pages.

  • CO2-energy evolution
  • Consumption evolution for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Consumption market share by sector for oil, gas, coal and electricity
  • Electricity prices levels and evolution for industry and households
  • Natural gas prices levels and evolution for industry and households

More than 30 country energy reports are already available, mainly European countries. This report upgrade will be gradually extended to most of Enerdata country reports.
