Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has announced the results of its second tender for onshore wind of 2025, which was oversubscribed. 568 bids with a capacity of 4,972 MW were submitted out of an original tendered quantity of 3,443 MW. 372 bids with a combined capacity of 3,447 MW were eventually accepted by the Bundesnetzagentur.
The values of the successful bids range from €6.47c/kWh to €6.94c/kWh. The average price stood at €6.83c/kWh, compared to €7.00c/kWh in the previous round. The largest volumes of awards were for sites in North Rhine-Westphalia (126 awards, 1,002 MW), Lower Saxony (88 awards, 960 MW), and Hesse (39 awards, 379 MW).
In its previous onshore wind tender (March 2025), which was also oversubscribed, the Federal Network Agency awarded 4,094 MW of onshore wind (422 bids).
