Vattenfall seeks rights for Dunkirk offshore wind project (France)

The Swedish power company Vattenfall has teamed up with the French financial institution Caisse des Dépôts and the German wind power developer WPD for the bid preparation for the 250 MW - 750 MW Dunkerque Offshore wind power project, offshore Dunkirk (France).



Ten companies or consortia were pre-qualified in May 2017, namely Statoil, Vattenfall, Elicio, Deme Concessions Wind, InControl France, a consortium of Iberdrola Renovables and RES, a consortium of Engie and EDPR, a consortium of EDF EN, Innogy and Enbridge, a consortium of Boralex and CMI5i Pastor and a consortium of Parkwind and Valeco.



The winner will be announced during the second half of 2018 and will be selected according to three criteria: price, consideration for the environment and optimization of the wind power zone. Commissioning is expected for 2022.
