Türkiye’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has allocated 1,500 MW of wind capacity across the country in its latest renewable capacity tender (Türkiye government press release, 02/11/2026). The Renewable Energy Resource Zone (YEKA) RES-2026 scheme attracted 29 bids by 11 companies, and seven sites in the Sivas, Balıkesir, Manisa and Kütahya regions were awarded. In total, the tender resulted in contribution payments of EUR75.5m (USD84m), with bids at a floor price of EUR3.50c/kWh.
The winning companies are: Egesa Elektrik İnşaat Enerji Üretim (from the R26-Balıkesir 2 and R26-Manisa of 235 MW each), Metgün Enerji Yatırımları (320 MW from R26-Sivas auction site), Fe Girişim Enerji Üretimi İnşaat ve Dış Ticaret (R26-Balıkesir 3 and 4 of 170 and 140 MW), Ecogreen Elektrik Enerji Üretim (260 MW from the R26-Kütahya), and Poyraz Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim (140 MW from R26-Balıkesir 1).
The winners may sell electricity on the free market for 72 months from contract signing, after which they will be required to sell their output to the transmission system for 20 years at the awarded price. The projects are expected to have a combined output of about 4.6 TWh of electricity, equivalent to the consumption of roughly 2 million households.
