SSE Renewables will take part in the upcoming Dutch offshore wind tender

SSE Renewables plans to enter bids into the upcoming tenders for the 1.4 GW Hollandse Kust (west) Wind Farm Zone in the Netherlands, which are expected in the first half of 2022. In December 2021 the Dutch Government issued revised draft Ministerial Orders that included tender assessment criteria for the permits to develop the two individual 700 MW sites within the Zone; details of the application process should be published shortly. The window for tender submissions is scheduled between 14 April and 12 May 2022, and winners should be announced in the summer.

SSE Renewables's Net Zero Acceleration Programme includes an increase of 4 GW of renewable capacity to 2026, i.e., doubling its installed renewable capacity to 8 GW.
