Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) confirmed its commitment to set up 50/50 joint venture partnership with the Norwegian energy group Statoil to develop three 1,200 MW projects at the 4,800 MW Dogger Bank offshore wind park complex (off the UK coast). This announcement is the sequel of an August 2017 swap agreement signed by Statoil, SSE and Innogy regarding equity stakes in the Dogger bank offshore wind project in the United Kingdom. Statoil and SSE previously owned 37.5% each of the four projects, while Innogy owned 25%. Following the swap agreement, Statoil and SSE now own each 50% in Creyke Beck A and B and in Teesside A, while Innogy owns 100% of Teesside B.
The 4,800 MW Dogger Bank complex consists of four 1,200 MW wind projects, namely Creyke Beck A and B and Teesside A and B, which have achieved consent and are due to be commissioned as of 2021. Statoil and SSE will work collaboratively to progress the Creyke Beck A, Creyke Beck B and Teesside A projects towards financial investment decisions (FID) while the remaining Teesside B project will be developed by Innogy.
