The Indian company SJVN has unveiled the winners for its auction floated in November 2023 and aimed at developing 1.5 GW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects across India. JSW New Energy was awarded 700 MW at a tariff of INR2.53/kWh (US$3.05c/kWh), while Furies Solren (Mahindra) and Solarcraft Power India 8 (BluPine Energy) were each awarded 300 MW at a tariff of INR2.53/kWh and INR2.52/kWh (US$3.04c/kWh) respectively. GRT Jewellers was awarded 150 MW at INR2.52/kWh and NTPC Renewable Energy won 50 MW at INR2.54/kWh (US$3.06c/kWh).
In addition, India’s GUVNL has announced the winners of its 500 MW grid-connected solar power projects Phase XXII auction, in which only 390 MW was awarded at the lowest quoted tariff of INR2.63/kWh (US$3.16c/kWh). Selected bidders include SJVN Green Energy (100 MW), Hinduja Renewables Energy (140 MW), Avaada Energy (100 MW), and BluPine Energy (50 MW), each at the lowest tariff.
