RVUNL successfully allocates 1 GW/2 GWh in BESS tender in Rajasthan (India)

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) has awarded a 1 GW/2 GWh state standalone BESS tender under a viability gap funding (VGF) scheme. The auction was conducted through tariff-based competitive bidding, and it received strong market interest. A total of 11 bids were awarded with tariffs ranging from INR177,500/MW/month (US$2,000/MW/month) to INR178,500/MW/month (US$2,011/MW/month). The systems must perform two daily charge-discharge cycles and maintain 95% monthly availability. The successful bidders are Stockwell Solar (200 MW/400 MWh), Oswal Cables, Patanjali Renewables, Viviana Power Tech, Galaxy Mining and Royalties, Manda Projects, Onward Solar (100 MW/200 MWh each), Micromax Informatics, RCRS Innovations, Mineralia Impex, and S T Electricals (50 MW/100 MWh each).
