The Indian power company Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RRVUNL) has successfully closed its tender for 500 MW/2000 MWh standalone BESS (4-hour single cycle) in the Indian state of Rajasthan (Indian government press release, 24/11/2025).
- Patanjali Ayurved won 250 MW/1 GWh, while UltraViolet Solar Energy, Rama Reflation India, MakePower Solutions,Bhagwati Lacto Vegetarian Exports, and Divakar Renewable and Infra each won 50 MW/200 MWh.
The winning tariff, INR285k/MWh per month (US$3,2k/MWh per month), was reported as “the lowest ever achieved for 4-hour single-cycle BESS projects” in India. The completion of this tender process paves the way for the company to install a total of 6 GW of BESS in Rajasthan.
