The Polish power group PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna has secured a total 1.4 GW of capacity obligation in a Polish capacity market auction for the year 2030 (PGE press release, 11/12/2025). This will include two planned gas-fired units in Rybnik and Gryfino, rated 588 MW each, which secured 15-year contracts. Although the price of kW/year has not yet been disclosed, the clearing price was set between PLN465/kW/year and PLN512/kW/year (€110-121/kW/year, or US$130-142/kW/year). The company also announced that it has over 7.7 GW of capacity obligations contracted for 2030 delivery.
PGE aims to reach 10 GW in gas-fired units by 2035.
