The Indian company NTPC Renewable has launched bids for a balance of system package of solar projects, totalling 1.3 GW, at the Khavda Renewable Park in the Kutch district of Gujarat (India). The project is divided into three 315 MW projects and one 310 MW project. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power projects. Bids can be submitted until 6 July 2022 and will be opened the same day.
Solar accounts for 12% of India’s installed capacity, with 49.3 GW (end-2021). Since 2016, India has commissioned more than 40 GW of solar projects, including a record 11.9 GW in 2021. The country aims to develop 175 GW of renewable power capacity by 2022, including 100 GW of solar.
