Neoen plans a 220 MW wind and storage project in Australia

French renewable project developer Neoen will build the 222 MW Bulgana Wind Power Hub (BGPH), a wind and storage power project in the state of Victoria in Australia. The Bulgana wind park, which Neoen acquired in January 2017, will feature up to 63 wind turbines and will include a 20 MW storage capacity. Construction is expected to begin in September 2017.

The group has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Nectar Farms to supply 10% of its electricity generation to a large glasshouse facility. In addition, Neoen has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the state of Victoria to inject the remaining 90% of its power generation to the grid.

Neoen is present in France, Australia and in El Salvador. It has about 1 GW of projects (installed and in construction) of which 665 MW of solar and 445 MW of wind. One key project is the 315 MW Hornsdale wind park in Australia.
