India tenders 1.2 GW of wind projects and 1.2 GW of solar-wind projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has initiated a tender for 1,200 MW of wind projects under the tranche XII of the interstate transmission-connected (ISTS) programme. Project developers are allowed to bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW, and up to a maximum of 1,200 MW in multiple of 10 MW until 2 December 2021. The scope of work comprises identifying land, installation, and ownership of the project, obtaining connectivity, long-term access, and necessary approval and interconnection with the ISTS network to supply power to SECI. 

In addition, SECI has launched a tender for 1,200 MW of solar-wind hybrid projects under the tranche V of the ISTS programme. Project developers are allowed to bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW, and up to a maximum of 1,200 MW until 6 December 2021. The projects must be hybrid of wind and solar, where the rated power capacity of one resource shall be at least 33% of the total offered hybrid plant capacity.
