Iberdrola, TotalEnergies, and Norsk Havvind have joined forces to respond to the next call for tenders for the development of 4.5 GW of floating and bottom-fixed wind projects at two offshore sites in southern Norway. It will consist of up to 4.5 GW across the two areas (1.5 GW Utsira Nord and 3 GW Sørlige Nordsjø II), with the technical potential being much higher.

RWE will also bid for the Utsira Nord area in a consortium with NTE and Havfram. Other bidders in the tenders will include a consortium of Ørsted, Fred. Olsen Renewables and Hafslund Eco, a consortium of BP, Aker and Staktraft and a consortium of Shell, BKK and Lyse.
