Germany's Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has announced that the bidding deadline for the final onshore wind tender of 2024 will be 4 November 2024. The total tender volume is 4,094 MW. This represents the installed capacity for which participants can secure payment rights under the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG). The overall tender volume for 2024 has been set at 10,000 MW, distributed equally over four auctions throughout the year. The maximum bid value for this tender is set at €7.35c/kWh. Bids exceeding this value will be excluded from the process.
To participate, projects must have permits issued under the Federal Emission Control Act (BImSchG) and must be registered by 4 October 2024. Additionally, projects that have already secured contracts can submit additional bids if the installed capacity of their systems is increased by more than 15%. These additional bids can only be submitted after the systems have been commissioned.
