The German Federal Network Agency has disclosed the results for the latest renewable capacity tenders that have closed on 1 October 2019. The wind auction gathered 25 bids totalling 204 MW (only 30% of the offered 675 MW). Regions with largest bids included Brandenburg with 74 MW (9 bids), North Rhine-Westphalia with 51 MW (6 bids) and Schleswig-Holstein with 29 MW (6 bids). The average bid price stood at €6.2c/kWh, which was also the capped price for this auction round.
Meanwhile, the solar auction was clearly oversubscribed gathering 153 bids totalling 648 MW (almost 500 MW above proposed 150 MW). The Agency selected 27 bids totalling 153 MW, mostly in Bavaria (19 bids, 130 MW). The average bid price stood at €4.9c/kWh, below the average price from the preliminary round (at €5.47c/kWh).
