The French energy regulator CRE has launched several renewable energy tenders for solar PV, onshore wind and hydropower projects. A first tender offers up to 100 MW of solar PV capacity for self-consumption (individual projects between 500 kW and 10 MW and community projects between 500 kW and 3 MW) with bids expected until late November 2021; another 13 tenders of this kind are expected through 2026. A second tender offers up to 700 MW of ground-mounted solar PV projects between 500 kW and 30 MW with bids expected until late December 2021 (9 other tenders with a capacity of 925 MW each are expected through 2026). A third technology-neutral tender for up to 500 MW of wind, solar (rooftop and ground-mounted projects) and hydropower projects is open until late December 2021; five similar tenders are expected (500 MW each year) until 2026. A fourth tender will offer 140 MW of innovative solar PV technologies without storage (projects up to 3 MW) with bids expected until late October 2021. A fifth tender for 300 MW of solar PV capacity (over 500 kW) on greenhouses and carports is opened until late October 2021. Finally, a sixth tender offers 700 MW of onshore wind capacity (expected until late November 2021).
