The French Ministry for an Ecological and Inclusive Transition has announced winners for two solar tenders: 50 projects totalling 73 MW under the solar "innovative" capacity project tender (floating solar, solar greenhouses, two-sized modules, etc...) and 77 projects totalling 508 MW under the large-scale solar PV programme (with capacities ranging between 500 kWc and 17 MWc each).
The solar innovation projects were offered under a 3-year 210 MW programme, with 70 MW of capacity offered each year. The winners offered an average price of €80.7/MWh.
The 508 MW of large-scale projects are the third allocation out of a 3,000 MW plan comprising six application periods. The average price has been significantly decreasing, from €80/MWh in 2015 to €70.6/MWh and €63.9/MWh in the previous 2017 rounds, and reached €61.6/MWh. The highest capacity rated projects - ranging between 5 MWp and 17 MWp - had an average price of €55.3/MWh (compared with €55.5/MWh in the previous round). The fourth large-scale application will have a total offered capacity of 720 MW and will take place in June 2018.
