The French government has selected 17 wind projects totalling 337 MW under the 925 MW second tranche of the PP2 call for tenders relating to ground-mounted wind installations. The auction concluded with an average price of €67.5/MWh, an increase of 5% compared with the tariff of €64.5/MWh awarded in the first tranche of the tender in March 2022. In addition, 26 solar projects totalling 100 MW have been chosen by the government under the 400 MW third tranche of the PP2 call for tenders relating to rooftop photovoltaic installations. The average tariff reached 90.1/MWh, a rise of 7% compared with the tariff of €64.5/MWh awarded in the second tranche of the tender in April 2022. Wind accounts for 13% of France's installed capacity with 18.9 GW (2021), and solar for 9% with 13.1 GW.
