Crown Estate Scotland has selected 13 projects in its INTOG (Innovation and Targeted Oil & Gas) leasing round, aimed to develop innovative offshore wind projects of 100 MW (IN) or less and larger offshore wind projects to directly supply offshore oil and gas platforms (TOG) in Scottish waters (United Kingdom). A total of 19 applications were submitted and applied for seabed rights, and 13 projects were selected and offered initial exclusivity agreements.
Eight TOG projects with a cumulative capacity of 5 GW were awarded: Cerulean Winds won three 1,008 MW projects, while Flotation Energy (in partnership with Vårgrønn, a joint venture between Plenitude (Eni) and HitecVision) won two projects rated 1,350 MW and 560 MW (Green Volt and Cenos, expected to produce first power as of 2027 and 2028, respectively). Harbour Energy won two 15 MW projects and TotalEnergies a 3 MW project. They will benefit from 50-year leases. In addition, five IN projects with a cumulative capacity of 499 MW were awarded to the Bluefloat Energy/Renantis Partnership (two 99.45 MW projects), Simply Blue Energy (100 MW), ESB Asset Development UK (100 MW), and BP Alternative Energy Investments (50 MW).
