The 903 MW Dangjin-4 CCGT project has been commissioned (South Korea)

The South Korean joint venture GS Electric Power and Services (GS EPS) has completed the fourth phase of the 1,503 MW Dangjin LNG-fired combined cycle power plant on the Bugok site (Chungnam Province, South Korea). The Dangjin-4 (also known as Bugok-4) unit includes two 294 MW gas turbines, one 315 MW steam turbine and is scheduled to come onstream by the end of 2017.

The 1,503 MW Dangjin LNG-fired plant consists of four phases: the 538 MW Phase I (commissioned in 2001), the 550 MW Phase II (2008), the 415 MW Phase III (2013) and the 903 MW Phase IV (2017).

GS EPS is a joint venture between GS Holdings (70%) and Oman Oil Company (30%). As of 2017, GS EPS already operates the three other LNG-fired Dangjin units with a combined capacity of 1,500 MW, alongside a 105 MW biomass power plant in Dangjin.
