To support its continued growth and international expansion, Enerdata successfully implemented a company-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in January. This initiative consolidates various processes into a single integrated platform, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The new ERP will standardise our practices, simplify our workflows, and centralise information, making information easily accessible to all teams.
The implementation aims to optimise our processes, enhance efficiency, and minimise the risk of errors. The solution manages our entire workflow, from opportunity identification to invoicing, across both our information services platform and our consulting and research project management.
Key to the project’s success was strong management support and a robust change management strategy. Recognising that the introduction of a new tool, coupled with the restructuring of roles and processes, could generate employee stress, we prioritised clear communication and employee empowerment to mitigate potential disruption.
The project spanned over two years. The initial phase focused on defining specifications, evaluating software publishers, and selecting the most suitable solution. The subsequent phase involved implementation, supported by an integrator and a change management consultant. A dedicated project team of ten key users, representing each department, participated in all stages: analysis, realisation, testing, and training.
This significant investment in the ERP system will simplify and professionalise Enerdata’s operational processes.
The system went live in early January 2025. We are currently fine-tuning the final details, but the solution is fully operational, and we will leverage it in the coming weeks.
We extend our sincere thanks to all internal and external contributors who made this project a success.
