The Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy's draft law on the capture, use, transport, and storage of CO2 has been submitted to Parliament. The bill establishes an environmentally innovative framework of rules for the safe capture, use, transport, and storage of CO2 in geological formations. Among other things, it defines the basic issues for licensing the industry and the conditions for access to storage facilities, while also providing for compensatory measures for the areas where storage will take place.
