Enlight will hybridise a 329 MW wind park in Spain to reach 554 MW/220 MWh

The Israeli renewable project developer Enlight Renewables has signed financing agreements worth US$310m for the hybridisation of the 329 MW Gecama wind project in Spain. The hybridisation project will consist in integrating a solar park and a utility-scale energy storage system at the existing wind park (commissioned in 2022), raising its installed capacity to 554 MW and 220 MWh. It will help deliver clean electricity around the clock at a competitive cost of generation. The solar and storage components of the project are expected to enter commercial operations in the second half of 2026.
