Energean Israel, a subsidiary of the UK-based energy company Energean, has signed a new Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with Israel’s Kesem Energy, under which Energean will supply gas to Kesem's new power plant. The 780 MW Kesem Energy gas-fired power plant is currently under construction in Rosh Ha'ayin, HaMerkaz, Israel, and is set for completion by the end of the decade. The contracted supply from Energean is around 1 bcm/year, from around the middle of the 2030s until the end of the contract period, i.e., about 12.5 bcm in contracted supply over a 17 year period. The contract represents over US$2bn in revenues.
