Doosan Energy has signed a contract with an undisclosed US company to supply seven 380 MW gas turbines, totalling 2,660 MW, in the United States. The South Korean turbine manufacturer will progressively supply gas turbines and generators to the data centres built by this US company, at a rate of one per month starting in May 2029.
The company is benefiting from the strong growth of the data centre market in the United States. In February 2026, the US administration announced that major technology companies must construct their own power plants to supply electricity to their data centres, aiming to mitigate rising consumer energy costs. No specific companies or implementation details were disclosed.
