Enerdata is currently working with ADEME's (the ecological transition agency) Transport and Mobility Department to develop a new tool for modelling energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the transport sector in France up to 2060.
Ultimately, the tool will cover all transport (passenger and freight transport, domestic and international) with a detailed representation of the energy consumption and GHG emissions of the various modes of transport, types of vehicle and types of engine. The tool will allow the simulation and comparison of up to five scenarios.
This project is part of ADEME's ongoing work on multi-sectoral prospective scenarios (Prospective Energie Ressource 2050) in which Enerdata is involved.
