Enerdata is assisting ADEME, the French Ecological Transition Agency, in the development of carbon neutrality scenarios in France. The mission consists in accompanying the agency in its work to consolidate the sectoral prospective work carried out by its departments at various scales and with multiple tools, and to ensure the overall consistency of the scenarios.
The scenarios drawn up concern the challenges related to energy, greenhouse gas emissions and raw materials up to 2050. With a view to the next presidential election in 2022 and the updates of the National Low Carbon Strategy and the Multiannual Energy Programming that will follow, ADEME wishes to influence the debate on carbon neutrality issues by proposing new scenarios. The agency has set up an internal working group of around twenty people and mobilises external expertise as necessary among its regular partners.
