Zelestra sells a 3.5 GW renewable portfolio in Latin America to Promigas

Spanish renewable energy company Zelestra has completed the sale of its Latin American portfolio to the Colombian multi-energy company Promigas (Zelestra press release, 28/05/2026). First announced in December 2025, the USD1.1bn transaction covers a 3.5 GW portfolio of renewable energy projects in different development phases in Chile, Peru and Colombia. Among the projects, the sale includes more than 2.1 GW of solar and BESS projects.

According to the Zelestra’s CEO, the divestment is aligned with the group’s strategy to focus its operations on its European and US markets, specifically Spain, Italy, and Germany.
