Zambia secures contracts to deploy 312 MW of new solar capacity

The Zambian government has secured contractors to deploy 312 MW of new solar capacity across its 156 constituencies (Zambian government press release, 01/06/2026). According to the announcement, the country launched a large-scale decentralized program that has awarded contracts for the construction of 2 MW solar power plants in each of its constituencies.
