Woodside completes 2nd 5 Mt/year train of its Pluto LNG project (Australia) 

Australia's top independent oil and gas producer Woodside Energy has completed the Pluto Train 2 module program located in the city of Karratha, Western Australia. The Pluto LNG facility plans to have an approximate capacity of 5 Mt/year of LNG, This expansion includes new domestic gas infrastructure and will have the capacity to supply up to 225 Tj/d to the Western Australian market. The project is scheduled for first LNG cargo in 2026. 

Woodside has also published its fourth quarter 2024 report, announcing the record-breaking production of 194 Mboe/year (530 Mboe/day) during 2024 of its Sangomar field, located 100 km south of Dakar (Senegal). The Trion field in the Perdido Fold Belt (Gulf of Mexico, Mexico) has entered the construction phase (20% complete) and it aims to start the construction of its floating production unit commencing in November, with first oil being targeted for 2028.
