Whistler Pipeline and Cheniere Energy have executed agreements to move forward with the construction of the ADCC Pipeline, which is a project that is expected to extend approximately 43 miles (69 km) from the terminus of the Whistler Pipeline to Cheniere’s Corpus Christi liquefaction terminal in the US state of Texas.
The pipeline has been designed to transport up to 1.7 bcf/d (17.6 bcm/year) of natural gas, expandable to 2.5 bcf/d (25.8 bcm/year) of natural gas, and is expected to come into service in 2024, pending the receipt of customary regulatory and other approvals. The Whistler Pipeline is owned by a consortium including MPLX, WhiteWater, and a joint venture between Stonepeak and West Texas Gas.
The Corpus Christi LNG export terminal currently comprises 3 trains with a total capacity of 15 Mt/year. In June 2022, Cheniere made a positive financial investment decision (FID) on a 10 Mt/year expansion project.
