Vestas selected as supplier for 2.3 GW of wind projects in the UK and Poland

The Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas has been selected as preferred supplier for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind project in the UK, as well as for the 1.2 GW Baltic Power Offshore Wind Project in Poland.

Inch Cape Offshore Limited, a joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and ESB, has appointed Vestas as the preferred wind turbine supplier for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, located 15 km off the Angus Coast in eastern Scotland (UK). Vestas will supply 72 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the project. The agreement also includes a 15-year Operations and Maintenance contract, which will provide a multi-year solution to service the wind farm when operational.

A couple of days prior, Baltic Power Sp., a joint venture between PKN ORLEN and Northland Power, also chose Vestas as the preferred turbine supplier for its Baltic Power Offshore Wind Project, located 23 km off the coast of Łeba (northern Poland). Vestas will provide 76 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the project.

In June 2022, Germany’s EnBW also selected Vestas to supply 64 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines for the 900 MW He Dreiht offshore wind project in Germany. Vestas has already installed 157 GW of wind turbines in 88 countries.
