US LNG developer Venture Global has announced the conclusion of two binding agreements with TotalEnergies and Vitol for the sale of additional LNG volumes (Venture Global press release, 12/05/2026).
- Under a new binding agreement with TotalEnergies, Venture Global will supply approximately 0.85 Mt/year of LNG for a period of about five years, commencing in 2026.
- Separately, Venture Global and Vitol have agreed to increase their existing five‑year binding LNG agreement from 1.5 Mt/year to 1.7 Mt/year, following the initial agreement announced in March 2026 (KEI 25/03/2026).
Both contracts will be supplied from Venture Global’s portfolio of LNG projects.
Venture Global is a major US LNG exporter, with over 100 Mt/year of LNG capacity in production, construction, or development. The company operates the Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines LNG, and CP2 LNG projects along the Gulf of Mexico. Venture Global recently reached a final investment decision (FID) for the second phase of its 29 Mt/year CP2 LNG project and secured USD8.6bn in project financing (KEI, 17/03/2026).
