Venture Global (US) signs 2 Mt/year LNG deals with Hanwha and Trafigura

The US LNG producer Venture Global and South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace (a subsidiary of Hanwha Group) have announced the signing of a new Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the supply of 1.5 Mt/year of US LNG from Venture Global over a 20-year period starting in 2030 (Venture Global press release, 02/03/2026). This latest deal increases Venture Global’s total long-term contracted portfolio to more than 46 Mt/year.

In addition, the company and Swiss trader Trafigura have signed a new binding agreement for the purchase of approximately 0.5 Mt/year of US LNG from Venture Global for a duration of 5 years, beginning in 2026.

Venture Global currently holds more than 100 Mt/year of LNG capacity under production, construction, or development across the United States.
