Tullow triples oil output at Jubilee field (Ghana) to 100,000 bbl/d

Tullow has brought onstream a new well on its Jubilee oil field after the recent start-up of the Jubilee South East (JSE) Project, offshore Ghana, expanding output to 100,000 bbl/d. Two remaining wells are scheduled to come online later in 2023.

Tullow and its partners have invested US$1bn over the last three years on the JSE Project to drill wells and install the infrastructure needed to bring previously undeveloped reserves to production. They plan to maintain this increased level of production at Jubilee over the next few years

The British company operates the field with a stake of 38.98%, together with it partners Kosmos (38.61%), GNPC (19.69%), and Petro SA (2.72%). Net production from the Jubilee field was 31,900 bbl/d in 2022. Ghana produced 58,000 bbl/d in 2021.
