Trina Storage and Gore Street Capital have announced the creation of a new private fund dedicated to support the deployment of more than 12 GWh of BESS projects across the European Union (Trina Storage press release, 23/02/2026). To do so, Trina plans to join the European Investment Fund and the Irish Strategic Fund in Gore Street Capital's EU BESS Fund. Gore Street Capital expects the fund to reach EUR1bn by the end of 2026, planning to start commissioning the first projects before the end of the year.
According to PV Magazine (24/02/2026), the head of Trina Storage Europe announced it expected the company to provide “technological and executional know-how” to achieve the funds target to deliver projects to enhance energy resilience and system flexibility across EU member states. The company has recently delivered over 6 GWh on BESS capacity across Europe.
