Total's hydrocarbon production remained stable in 2013 at 2.3 mboe/d

In 2013, Total's sales dropped by 5% to €189.5bn, while net operating income from the upstream segment fell by 16% to €9,370m and net income collapsed to €8.44bn (-20%). In 2013, hydrocarbon production was 2,299 kboe/d (stable from 2012), as new projects offset the sale of interests in Nigeria, the UK, Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago and the normal decline in British production. Oil reserves dipped by 5% to 5,413 mbl, while gas reserves increased by 7% to 33,026 bcf (935 bcm); the 2013 proved reserve replacement rate, based on SEC rules, was 119%.

In 2013, Total processed 1,719 kb/d in its refineries (-4%), including 647 kb/d in France (-2%), reflecting voluntary shut-downs in response to week refinery margins, maintenance at the Donges refinery (France), the closure of the Rome refinery (Italy) and a turnaround at the Antwerp refinery (Belgium). Refined product sales decreased by 2% to 1,138 kb/d in Europe, but soared in the rest of the world (+11%); overall, product sales grew by 2% to 1,749 kb/d.
