TotalEnergies EP Congo has made a hydrocarbon discovery offshore the Republic of Congo (TotalEnergies press release, 13/04/2026). The discovery was made on the MHNM-6 NFW exploration well at the Moho license, where the company encountered a hydrocarbon column of approximately 160 meters in good-quality Albian reservoirs. The well has the support of an extensive data acquisition and sampling campaign for its future development.
The Moho G discovery, situated at proximity of the Moho F structure, has estimated resources of about 100 mbl, which are planned to be developed as a tie-back to the existing Moho facilities.
TotalEnergies EP Congo is the operator of the Moho license (63.5%) and it partners with Trident Energy (21.5%) and the Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC, 15%). Existing production facilities include two Floating Production Units (FPU), Alima and Likouf, combining for a current output of around 90 kboe/d (100%).
