TotalEnergies and ADNOC Gas have announced a five-year LNG supply agreement, under which ADNOC Gas will deliver up to 1.6 Mt of LNG in total (320 kt/year). The first deliveries are expected to begin in 2026.
ADNOC stated that “The agreement comes as ADNOC advances its newly launched global LNG marketing and trading platform, which brings together the LNG marketing activities of ADNOC Gas and XRG with the trading capabilities of ADNOC Trading in an integrated commercial platform”. The company aims to reach 47 Mt/year of marketable LNG beyond 2030.
The announcement follows ADNOC’s final investment decision (FID) on the Ruwais Diyab unconventional gas development in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The project initially targets raw gas production of 9.8 mcm/d (approximately 3.6 bcm/year), with output expected to start in 2029 (KEI, 04/11/2026).
