Tokyo Gas completed the construction of Chiba-Kashima Line

Tokyo Gas has completed the construction of Chiba-Kashima Line (Length: 79.3 km). The Line will start supplying gas to customers from the middle of March 2012 onward.

The Line has been constructed since July, 2006, with a view to promoting and expanding the use of natural gas in both the northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture and the southeastern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, where a supply infrastructure of natural gas has not been installed yet. The completion of the Line has enabled the industrial customers along the Line and in Kashima waterfront industrial zone in Ibaraki Prefecture, and the surrounding gas suppliers, to make use of natural gas.

With the completion of the Line, Tokyo Gas has obtained the high-pressure pipeline network of approximately 897 km, located mainly in metropolitan area.
