Indian independent power producer Tata Power plans to raise its power generation capacity to 18 GW by 2020, with 20% to 25% of this capacity coming from renewable and clean sources and 4 GW of decentralised distributed power generation capacity. The group currently operates 8.7 GW of power capacity, including 7,607 MW of thermal capacity, 573 MW of hydropower, 487 MW of wind and 59 MW of solar.
