The Finnish energy company Taaleri Energia and Sweden’s Landinfra Energy have agreed to jointly develop a pipeline of hybrid renewables projects in Sweden totalling 1.9 GW. As part of the agreement Taaleri Energia is acquiring 50% of the portfolio from Landinfra Energy, which will retain the remaining 50%.
The development pipeline, which is estimated to require an investment of more than €1.5bn and generate around 2.5 TWh/year of energy, comprises 1.1 GW of solar-plus-storage projects and 800 MW of wind-plus-storage projects. The first projects will be commissioned by 2025, pending required permits. The majority of the projects are located in Sweden’s SE4 area (southern Sweden) and the remainder are in SE3 (central Sweden).
