Sweden's Eolus seeks licences for 3 Polish offshore wind plants (3.3 GW)

Sweden's Eolus has submitted applications for the development of three offshore wind projects totalling 3,260 MW in the Baltic Sea, north of Poland. The three projects could have a capacity of 1,000 MW, 1,200 MW and 1,060 MW. Construction would start in 2029 and commissioning is scheduled in 2031.

The Polish government has launched a new auction scheme covering 11 areas in the Polish Baltic Sea, representing an expected total capacity of over 10 GW. Poland seeks to achieve up to 5.9 GW of offshore wind energy installed by 2030.
