STEAG announces new strategy to 2022

STEAG, has published its strategy to 2022 that aims to cope with the change of market conditions for electricity generation from large conventional power plants in Germany.

Finally, the company aims to strengthen its position as a developed of district heating and renewable energy projects, mainly in Germany, France and Poland.

STEAG (100% held by KSBG, a consortium of 7 municipal utilities of Nord-Rhine Westphalia) is the fifth largest power generation company with around 8.2 GW (at end-2015) of installed capacity, mainly coal-fired.
