Statkraft will divest its stakes in two offshore wind parks in the UK

Norwegian power utility Statkraft has decided to sell its interests in two offshore wind parks in the United Kingdom by early 2018, confirming December 2015 strategy to stop new investments in onshore wind and to sell its stakes in existing parks.

Statkraft will sell its 40% stake in the 317 MW Sheringham Shoal offshore wind park commissioned in 2012 and jointly owned with Norwegian oil and gas group Statoil (40%) and the UK Green Investment Bank (20%) along with its 30% stake in the 402 MW Dudgeon offshore wind project, currently being built off the North Norfolk coast of East England and due to be commissioned in late 2017. Dudgeon is operated by Statoil with a 35% stake and is also owned by Abu Dhabi's renewable energy company Masdar (35%).

In March 2017, Statkraft sold its 25% stake in the Forewind Consortium developing the Dogger Bank offshore wind project in the United Kingdom (12.5% sold to Statoil and 12.5% to SSE).
