In FY 2024/2025, SSE reached 50% of turbines installed at Dogger Bank A, continuing progress on the 3.6 GW offshore wind park, whose completion is expected in the second half of 2025. In addition, SSE energised the 260 km Shetland HVDC transmission project, linking Shetland to the UK grid, and completed the associated 443 MW Viking wind park.

Finally, SSE started construction on the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) transmission project, involving the construction of a 500 km subsea electricity transmission link between Scotland and England.
