SPP to invest €200m in 2009

In 2009, the companies of SPP Core Group (Slovenský plynárenský priemysel, and the subsidiary companies SPP – distribúcia and eustream) plan to invest more than €200m in development and renewal of the transmission and distribution networks and in services provided to customers. Of the planned investment volume, the biggest portion (more than €100m) has been allocated for the renovation and reconstruction of the distribution network.

SPP - distribucia initiated its activities as a 100% subsidiary of SPP on July 2006 after the legal unbundling of all activities relating to the distribution of natural gas and distribution assets. The company distributes natural gas to approximately 1.5 M customers in Slovakia. It manages a gas network of about 31,000 km of gas pipelines.

Eusteam also initiated its activities as a 100% subsidiary of SPP on July 2006 after the legal unbundling of transmission activities from SPP. The transmission network consists of 2,270 km of pipelines and four compressor stations (Veľké Kapušany, Jablonov nad Turňou, Veľké Zlievce and Ivanka pri Nitre).
