Spain's Repsol posted a net income of €2.5bn in 2021

The Spanish oil and gas company Repsol has released its 2021 results, posting a net income of €2.5bn. Repsol produced 209 Mboe of hydrocarbon in 2021 (-12%), including 750 bcf of natural gas (-15%) and 75 mbl of liquids (-4.8%). Most of Repsol's hydrocarbon output came from the United States (20%), Trinidad & Tobago (12%) and Venezuela (10%). The company processed 38 Mt of crude oil in 2021 (+6.3%) and sold 43.5 Mt of oil products (+4.9%), mainly in Europe. Repsol owns and operates 3.7 GW of power generation capacity (with another 2.3 GW under development) and the group generated a total of 5.3 TWh (-11%) in 2021. It aims to reach 6 GW of installed capacity in 2025 and 20 GW in 2030.
