Solarpro Technology and CATL have connected a 602 MWh BESS to Bulgaria’s electricity grid in Burgas. Solarpro acted as the EPC contractor and was responsible for the full integration of the BESS, which uses CATL’s TENER storage system, a 6 MWh-class zero-degradation solution. The companies said they plan to further expand their energy storage collaboration over the next two years.
The facility will increase Bulgaria’s total energy storage capacity by 10%, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar while strengthening the reliability and stability of the national power system.
